Summer Vacations

We spent 3 fun filled days in San Diego playing at the beach and going to the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. Cayson had a blast seeing all the animals, watching Shamu and eating lunch with Shamu. Cayson played on the beach every evening and loved chasing the waves! We were home for 1 1/2 days before leaving for Idaho.

Cayson had a great time at the cabin. We spent 8 days playing with cousins, going to the water park, visiting Yellowstone and seeing buffalo and elk, quad riding, going on hikes with Grandpa, playing with the "big" boys, playing with the dogs, canoing on the lake and on the river and seeing the bears at Bear World. Going to the cabin is something he looks foreward to every year!

Circus

Tonight was Barnum and Bailey's Circus and Cayson loved it. We went to the pre-show and got to go down on the floor and meet the performers, get autographs and see the animals up close. Our seats were on the 4th row so we actually got to interact with the clowns during the show and were right there for all the action. His favorite parts were with the dogs doing tricks and the elephants. He was also very mesmerized with the magic in making people and animals disappear. He is so excited to go again and we can't wait till the next time they are in town to see it again!

Summer Favorite

Cayson LOVES swimming in the summer. He would swim year round if the pool wasn't so cold in the winter...note to self, heated pool may be a really great investment! He recently found the guts to climb up to the waterfall and jump off it. (actually the fact that his girl cousins could do it and he couldn't probably helped entice him to brave the jump!) He really enjoys swimming and luckily we get to go almost every day. By the end of summer we may see gills and fins starting to grow!

I'm 5!

Cayson had his 5th birthday party at Pump It Up. He and his friends had so much fun jumping around and playing together. I can't believe that he is 5 already and going to kindergarten this year. He is getting so big and going to the big kid school is a very scary thought! Dropping him off at the curb at the big kid school is an even scarier thought!!!

Happy birthday, Cayson dear, its been a great year. You have learned so much at school and church and have made great friends. You have done awesome with gymnastics and we are so excited to see you kick butt at soccer and baseball this year. Daddy and I are so proud of you and the big boy you have become. Your baby sister is lucky to have such a thoughtful and kind brother to watch over her and keep her safe, just as your new sibling will be. Year 5 will be great, we already have some awesome plans for the year!
We love you, Bubba!

Pinetop Weekend

This past weekend I took Cayson and Carly to Pinetop with Grandma and Grandpa to stay at a cabin we rented. Cayson had a great time playing in the snow, sledding, having snowball fights with grandpa, running with the dogs and hanging out in the cabin playing nintendo ds. He went down the sledding hill 5 times ALL BY HIMSELF!! He didn't get scared or anything!

Caysons school had a day where they brought ten tons of snow for all the kids to play in and Cayson loved it. It will probably only be the time he gets to wear his spongebob hat and gloves. but it was so much fun for him and Im so glad Grandma Ann and I were able to be there for it.

Even though I packed allot more warm clothes for him he just wanted his gloves and hat. but the had kept his ears warm and that was good. He didnt keep my ears warm when he put snow in my face. but it was soft. thats alll the snow we need this winter.
